Current announcements
31st July: Server software update
On the 31st of May, downtime will be necessary to apply the following updates:
- MediaWiki: 1.43.1 -> 1.43.3
- PHP: 8.1.32 -> 8.1.33
- MariaDB: 11.4.7 -> 11.8.2
Other issues related to the application of this update:
- It is possible that creating an account on all Freosan Studios wikis will be unavailable for about a week after this update. If this is the case and if you need to create an account, please use the contact details located at Reporting a website technical issue to send us your preferred username and email, and we will create one for you.
Advance notification will be given three days before the date in the form of sitenotices.

31st May: Server software update
On the 31st of May, downtime will be necessary to apply the following updates:
- Apache: 2.4.62 -> 2.4.63
- MariaDB: 11.4.5 -> 11.4.7
Other issues related to the application of this update:
- This update is also expected to re-introduce the ability to edit logged out.
Advance notification will be given three days before the date in the form of sitenotices.
19th April: Server software update
On the 19th of April, downtime was necessary to apply the following updates:
- MediaWiki: 1.43.0 -> 1.43.1
- PHP: Expected 8.1.29 -> 8.1.32
Other issues related to the application of this update:
- This update was also expected to re-introduce the ability to edit logged out. That has unfortunately been delayed to a later time.
- Some extensions that were applied during this update are not currently operative. We are working on fixing this issue.

27th January: Server software update
On the 27th of January, downtime was necessary to apply the following updates:
- MediaWiki: 1.39.10 -> 1.43.0
Advance notification will be given a week before the date in the form of sitenotices. Note that this maintenance break will last for an extended period of time, as it will also be used to clean the server equipment that operates our websites.
30th November: Server software update
On the 30th of November, downtime was necessary to apply the following updates:
- MediaWiki: 1.39.8 -> 1.39.10
- PHP: 8.1.29 -> 8.1.31
- MariaDB: 11.4.3 -> 11.4.4
Advance notification will be given a week before the date in the form of sitenotices. The downtime period is expected to be about one hour.
23rd September: AEW/CCW split, server software update
On the 23rd of September, downtime was necessary to apply the following updates:
- Splitting of Australian Enthusiasts Wiki into Computing Classics Wiki.
- MediaWiki: Expected 1.39.8 -> 1.39.9
- PHP: Expected 8.1.29 -> 8.1.31
Advance notification will be given a week before the date in the form of sitenotices. The downtime period is expected to be about six hours.
