Current announcements

TBD January: Server software update

At a yet to be announced day of January, downtime will be necessary to apply the following updates:

• MediaWiki: 1.39.10 -> 1.43.0
• PHP: 8.1.31 -> TBD
• MariaDB: 11.4.4 -> TBD

Advance notification will be given a week before the date in the form of sitenotices. Note that this maintenance break will last for an extended period of time, as it will also be used to clean the server equipment that operates our websites.

Resolved announcements

30th November: Server software update

On the 30th of November, downtime was necessary to apply the following updates:

• MediaWiki: 1.39.8 -> 1.39.10
• PHP: 8.1.29 -> 8.1.31
• MariaDB: 11.4.3 -> 11.4.4

Advance notification will be given a week before the date in the form of sitenotices. The downtime period is expected to be about one hour.

23rd September: AEW/CCW split, server software update

On the 23rd of September, downtime was necessary to apply the following updates:

• Splitting of Australian Enthusiasts Wiki into Computing Classics Wiki.
• MediaWiki: Expected 1.39.8 -> 1.39.9
• PHP: Expected 8.1.29 -> 8.1.31

Advance notification will be given a week before the date in the form of sitenotices. The downtime period is expected to be about six hours.
